LimeSurvey is a web-based survey application that allows users to develop and publish online surveys, collect responses, create statistics, and export the resulting data to other applications.

How to get an account on the UU Limesurvey server?
Go to the url https://survey.fss.uu.nl/admin
Please use the yellow button “Login using SURFconext” to login in with the UU-login service.
If you log in with your Solis credentials for the first time, an account will be created for you. You will automatically have the right to create your own surveys.
How to store survey data?
Our LimeSurvey server is not meant as a place to store your data for the long-term. Once your survey is complete, please download your data and store it in a secure location as dictated by the UU guidelines. We also ask that once you have stored your data safely, that you remove it from the server.

How to move from Qualtrics to LimeSurvey?
LimeSurvey and Qualtrics are two different programs who store surveys very differently. At the writing of this info sheet, we are still looking into if it is possible to move surveys from one to the other. If you need help, please email limesurvey@uu.nl

If you cannot find your answers there, mail UU LimeSurvey support at limesurvey@uu.nl. Please add the link to your survey, and describe your problem as fully as possible. If you get an error, please either tell us what the error says, or include a screen-shot.
LimeSurvey Updates
LimeSurvey is updated every Tuesday morning. The impact of these updates is usually minimal. We update regularly because LimeSurvey is developing rapidly.

LimeSurvey has been updated with the latest security update to help keep the platform secure and up to date.
As part of this update, UU Fruity is now the default theme. This theme is required to use the new survey editor.
If you are still using the old editor, you can change the theme yourself. Go to General → Theme, select UUFruityTheme, and save your changes.
Following advice from information security experts, the use of JavaScript in LimeSurvey has been restricted. As a result, users cannot add scripts to survey questions or modify existing scripts by default.
If you need JavaScript for a survey, please contact limesurvey@uu.nl. Please explain why the script is needed and specify which survey it concerns.
LimeSurvey 7.1 includes a new survey editor. This editor is currently disabled by default because a UU theme is not yet available for it. The new editor may also respond slowly when working with large surveys.
If you would like to try it, you can enable it yourself: click your profile name in the top-right corner and select Editor version.
